Student made books for your classroom

Earth Book - Your students will enjoy making this book and taking it home to share with their families. It will work best if you make one or two pages each day and then assemble your book on Friday. You will need to cut 8” squares of the following colors: 2 orange, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 brown, 1 purple.

Put the pages in order and staple on the left hand side.

Hint! Younger children can tell this story by looking at the pictures. Kindergarteners could label each page. Primary grade children could write their own sentences for each page.

You can vary this book by making one for Thanksgiving called "My Thankful Book." You could also make a patriotic book called "I Love My Country."

Check the Downloads folder for a pdf file that has patterns to help your students with the Earth Book.
