Greeting Card Book - Ask parents to send in old greeting cards. Cut off the front of each card and then use it as a pattern to cut blank paper. Staple the paper to the cards to make books.

Hint! You could also hole punch and bind with ribbon or yarn.

Postcard Book - Have children ask relatives from other parts of the country to send postcards to the class. Look on a map or globe to see where postcards are from. You could also take a “virtual field trip” on the computer. Cut paper 4” x 6” and staple to the postcards to make books.

Write “Child’s name eats name of cereal.” on a strip of paper and glue it on the bottom of the box as shown. Make a cover for the book that says, “What’s for Breakfast?” Hole punch the cereal boxes together and bind with book rings.
