Puppet

Directions:

Cut out two puppets from the pattern on heavy paper. Color one to look like a girl (Jill). Color the other one to look like a boy (Jack). Glue the backs together to the stick so when you twist the puppet back and forth it resembles Jack and Jill.

Use the puppet to say or sing the nursery rhyme below:

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
   And Jill came tumbling after.

Additional Verses:

Then up got Jack and said to Jill
As in his arms he took her.
"You're not hurt. Brush off that dirt.
Now, let's go fetch that water."

So Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
They brought it back to mother dear,
Who thanked her son and daughter.
