PUDDING POPS -

    You will need:

        1 large (4oz.) package of regular pudding mix (not instant)
        3 cups milk
        large marshmallows
        popsicle sticks
        paper cups
        aluminum foil
    Directions:
        1. Stir the pudding mix and milk until well blended.
        2. Fill cups half full with the pudding mixture.
        3. Put a marshmallow on the end of the popsicle sticks,
            then insert them in the cups.
        4. Cover with foil to keep the marshmallows down.
        5. Freeze and enjoy!

Hint! Here’s another yummy frozen treat. Mix 2 cups plain yogurt with 1 can of frozen orange or grape juice concentrate. Freeze in cups and eat with a spoon.

TRAIL MIX -

    You will need:
        Cheerios
        pretzel sticks
        raisins
        fish crackers
        chocolate chips
        zip bags
    Directions:
        1. Wash your hands
        2. Count out and put in the bag:

            10 Cheerios
              9 pretzel sticks
              8 raisins
              7 fish crackers
              6 chocolate chips

        3. Zip the bag and shake.
        4. Yippee ti yi yo!

Hint! Serve trail mix in flat bottom ice cream cones. You can just eat the cone when you’re through with the mix.
*Use cheese crackers, sunflower seeds, M&Ms or other dry cereals in your trail mix.

FAIRY BREAD

    You will need:
        bread
        butter or margarine
        colored sugar sprinkles
    Directions:
        1. Wash your hands.
        2. Spread butter or margarine on a slice of bread.
        3. Sprinkle with colored sugar.
        4. Cut diagonally into 4 small triangles.

Hint! This is a special treat children in Australia have at parties.

MICRO NACHOS

    You will need:
        tortilla chips
        jar of mild salsa
        grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Mexican mix)
    Directions:
        1. Wash your hands.
        2. Spread chips on a paper plate.
        3. Spoon on several tablespoons of salsa.
        4. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
        5. Microwave on high until the cheese melts.
        6. Ole!

DIRT CAKE

    You will need:
        chocolate instant pudding
        crushed chocolate crème cookies
        Cool Whip or other dairy topping
        gummy worms
        sunflower seeds
        construction paper, straw
    Directions:
        1. Wash your hands.
        2. Prepare the pudding and put a layer of it in a plastic cup.
        3. Put cool whip on top of the pudding.
        4. Sprinkle crushed cookies on top.
        5. Add a gummy worm and a few sunflower seeds.
        6. Draw a flower on a piece of paper. Tape it to
         a straw and stick it in your dirt.
Hint! Make a large dirt cake for the whole class in a clean flower pot. Layer pudding, Cool Whip, crushed cookies, pudding, Cool Whip, crushed cookies. Top with worms and seeds.
*Try a sand castle cake, too. Use vanilla pudding, Cool Whip, and crushed vanilla wafers. Add a gummy fish and paper umbrella.
