Letters Go Round - Place a letter on the floor. Have children hold hands and circle around the letter as they sing the song below to the tune of "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush."
Here we go round the letter K,
The letter k, the letter k.

Here we go round the letter k,
         So early in the morning.

/k/ /k/ /k/ is what it will say,
What it will say, what it will say.
/k/ /k/ /k/ is what it will say.
         It's the letter k.

Continue placing other letters on the floor and singing the song.

Twinkle Letters - Point to the pictures on your classroom alphabet as you sing this song to the tune of "Twinkle Little Star." For example:
         A is for alligator.
         B is for bear.
         C is for cat.
         D is for dog.

Hint! You could also use children's names in this tune. For example, "B is for Barb. L is for Lisa. P is for Pepe. T is for Timmy."

Mmm! Mmm! Good - Insert these sounds and words into the "Campbell's Soup Song."
         /g/ /g/ /g/
         /g/ /g/ /g/
         That's what "G" says,
         /g/ /g/ /g/

Hint! Make letter cards that look like soup cans to hold up as you sing.
