Views for the New Year

January 2016

It’s 2016 and I’m going to start your new year off with some videos that will have your students moving and learning. There is a contest, too.

Sports Around the Year – Starting with January, your students can ice skate, play basketball, soccer, and the other sports they enjoy through the seasons of the year.

Jump Up, Turn Around, Cross the Midline – Here’s another movement song that will activate both sides of the brain.  Use it to start your day or as a transition between content areas in the day.

Karate Writing – Sing the alphabet as you punch the letters that start at the top dotted line, middle dotted line, and those with a tail.

My Bonnie Bounce – This is pure fun and a way to oxygenate the brain and release stress.

We have links to my YouTube videos that are available so far.  For your planning purposes they are organized into the following categories:

  1. Brain Energizers  (Perfect for brain breaks)
  2. Literacy  (Reinforce literacy skills with a song)
  3. Math  (Move and learn math standards)
  4. Just for Fun  (Songs kids love)
  5. Teacher Talks  (Let me share some cheers, handshakes, finger plays, transitions, and tips with you.)

Also, don't miss our contest. Win music and songs worth $100. Click for info.

Enjoy!!!
