MAY, 2015
Songs and Standards

It’s May!  It’s May!  The lovely month of May!  And we have a special gift for you this month.  Sam Williams (kindergarten teacher extraordinaire) and I created several song packets where we took songs that children enjoyed and used them to reinforce skills and standards.  Micelle Tsivgadellis (3amteacher and delightful graphics designer) and Alex May (my webmaster and super hero) made this project possible.

Sam and I would like to give you the packet for “Five Little Hotdogs” this month so you can end your year with a song.  The song packet includes:

· Download of the song
· A colorful sing and read book
· A reproducible independent reading book
· Lyric sheet
· Extension Activities
·“I Can” Statements for ELA and Math standards

* Each packet also comes with reproducibles to use in centers to reinforce skills.

If you like “Five Little Hotdogs” we’ve got three other song packets that would be great for the beginning of the school year.

“Color Farm”
“Shape Family”
“Nursery Rhyme Rap”

Have you signed up for my blog? Recently I posted an item titled, "What's the Point?" about why we have Kindergarten. The article was well received, and I have created a download of the article which you may have by clicking here. You can visit my blog and see the original article here.
