Winter

     The squirrels are underground,
     The birds are in their nests,
     Snuggling with their families
     Keeping warm as they know best.

     I like the wintertime—
     snow and ice are oh so nice
     especially when I’m safe and warm
     and snuggled up inside!

     Was a great American.
     He wanted all the children
     Free and equal in our land.

     Love and peace and justice

     So we give our thanks to him
     On this special day.
     He made our world a better place.
