On the first day of Halloween my monster gave to me,
A bat in an old, dead tree.

On the second day …2 creepy spiders

On the third day…3 howling cats

On the fourth day…4 silly scarecrows

On the fifth day…5 jack-o-lanterns

Activities: Encourage children to make up additional verses for the song.

Make books illustrating the “Five Days of Halloween.”
