SINK AND FLOAT
Fill a bottle half full with water. Add several items
that float (plastic toy, stick, Styrofoam) and several
items that sink (paper clip, rock, coin).
BON VOYAGE BOTTLE
When a child is moving, ask each of their friends
to write a little note on a piece of paper and put
it in the bottle as a farewell gift. Decoratewith
stickers or a ribbon. (Don't glue the lid on this
one!)

MAGNIFYING BOTTLE
Fill a bottle with leaves, shells, nuts, feathers,
or other natural objects. Have children observe and
items in the bottle with a magnifying glass.
HOLIDAY BOTTLES
Put seasonal objects such as tinsel and ornaments;
plastic grass and small bunnies eggs; artificial spider
webs and spiders, etc. in bottles.
