Holiday Happenings
Bottles of Fun!

 
 

LETTER BOTTLE
Put objects beginning with a particular sound in the bottle. *Great parent/child project!

BIRTHDAY BOTTLE
Pour 1/3 cup corn syrup in the bottle.
Add party sequins and tie on a ribbon.

QUIET BOTTLE
Put 1/3 clear corn syrup (Karo) in the bottle. Add 2 drops food coloring and1 tsp.glitter.

 
 

STRESS BOTTLE
Put 2 TB. crayon shavings in the bottle.

Fill with water.

FAMILY BOTTLE
Each child creates a bottle representing
their family with photos and other
mementoes.

They bring this with them on the
first day of school to ease separation.


MAGNETIC BOTTLE
Fill a bottle halfway with grits or rice.
Add objects a magnet will attract, such
as paper clips, pins, nails.
Tie on a magnet, then challenge
children to attract the objects.

*Can also put paper clips in a
bottle of water.

ESTIMATION BOTTLE
Fill a bottle with candy,natural objects,
or other small items. Have children
estimate, then dump out the contents
and count.


*Make 100 Bottles for Hundred Day Celebrations.


BUBBLE BOTTLE
Fill a bottle 1/3 full
with water. Add a drop
of detergent and a drop
of food coloring

Shake!

WAVE BOTTLE
Fill 2/3 full with water. Add food
coloring. Fill to
top with vegetable
oil or baby oil


 

STATIC BOTTLE
Tear small piece of tissue paper or Styrofoam and put them in a bottle.Rub on your hair or wool clothing
