SANTA CLAUS HAS 7 ELVES

Santa Claus has seven elves.
Seven elves has dear old Santa Claus.
And they always laugh, and they always joke, And they always work like this -right arm.

HE'LL BE COMING DOWN THE CHIMNEY (Tune: "She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain") He'll be driving 8 reindeer in a sleigh. Giddy- up! etc. He'll be wearing a red suit when he comes. Ho-ho-ho! He'll come down the chimney Christmas Eve. Whoosh! We'll put out milk and cookies just for him. Yum-yum! He'll leave us toys and goodies when he comes. (giggle, giggle) We'll have a happy day when he comes! (clap and cheer).
	RING YOUR BELLS (Tune: "Row Your Boat") Ring, ring, ring your bells, Ring them loud and clear. Telling people everywhere Holiday time is here. Stomp your feetŠ Clap your handsŠ Jump up and downŠ Let children suggest different motions.

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS (Traditional Tune) On the first day of Christmas Santa gave to me, a book that I can read. On the second dayŠlet children suggest two of a popular toy. Continue having children suggest different toys they want for the twelve days of Christmas. (For example: 2 video games, 3 soccer balls, 4 scooters, etc.) *Make a language experience chart or class book which the children illustrate to go along with this song.
