Poems for Spring

TOP O' THE MORNING
Top of the morning
Is what we say
On March 17th
St. Patrick's Day.
Wear your green
And I am told,
If you catch a leprechaun
He'll give you his gold.

MARCH WINDS
March marches in like a lion.
It roars and it blows.
March goes out like a lamb
On quiet tippy toes.
Get out your kite
When you feel the March breeze,
But you better watch out
For kite-eating trees!
HERE IS A BUNNY
Here is a bunny
With ears so funny.
And here's his hole in the ground.
At the slightest noise he hears,
He pricks up his ears,
Then hops to his hole in the ground!
IT'S RAINING
(Traditional Tune)
It's raining.
It's pouring.
The old man
Is snoring.
He went to bed,
And he bumped his head,
And he couldn't get up
In the morning!
DIG A HOLE
Dig a hole.
Plant a seed.
Up comes a flower.
Pull out the weed.
RAIN
Rain, rain,
Go away.
Come again
Another day.
GOOD-BYE NOW
Good-bye now, good-bye now,
The school year must end.
It's time to say
Good-bye to our friends.
Sing, read, and play
The whole summer through,
Then next fall,
I'll be glad to see you!
